Car Rental in Mortimer, NY

About renting in Mortimer

Need a rental car in Mortimer? CarmaCars rents cars from Toronto and brings them to Mortimer. In short: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. The cars below show live prices before tax.

What is different here

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser. The offer is in writing, so you can check it before you agree.

When it makes sense

Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then. Anyone between a car sale and a car purchase.

Delivery and pickup

Our drivers cover Mortimer, roughly 150 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line. We price delivery by distance and show it in the offer.

Skip the delivery fee by picking the car up from us. We check your licence and card in person when we hand over the car. Airport handovers are possible at Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport; an airport surcharge may apply.

The area around Mortimer

Close by are Bailey, Genesee Junction and Maplewood, each with its own page. Mortimer is close to South Town Plaza Shopping Center, Scutti Plaza North Shopping Center and Scutti Plaza South Shopping Center.

For flights, Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) is about 3 km away. For winter trips, choose winter tires in your request on the cars that offer them.

Day trips from here

For a day out, Stratford is roughly 150 km away, with the theatre season. Muskoka, about 170 km away, is another favourite, for cottage country and the lakes around Gravenhurst. Every car lists its kilometres included and the rate for each extra one. If the plan includes a border crossing, ask in your request: it needs our written consent.

The rules, briefly

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

How renting with us works

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.
