Why CarmaCars

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. The same team handles your request, your handover and your questions. A person reads each request and answers it, by email and in your account.

Who this suits

People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice. Anyone between a car sale and a car purchase.

What we check

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

Booking made plain

Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.
