What is different here

Common reasons to rent

Anyone between a car sale and a car purchase. People with family in town who need a second car for a while.

What you need to rent

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

What happens when you ask for a car

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. You pay only once you approve the offer.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
