Driver basics

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

Requesting a car

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
