How renting works in Omar

CarmaCars is a rental company in Toronto. For Omar, our help starts there. Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. Nothing is charged until we confirm the car and the price and you approve.

What is different here

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. We answer questions before you book, not only after. You can rent again later with the same account and details.

Who this suits

Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own. Drivers who want to try a different kind of car for a week.

Request, offer, keys

Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

What you need to rent

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
