Why CarmaCars

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. The deposit is never taken when you book, only shortly before pickup. The offer is in writing, so you can check it before you agree.

What happens when you ask for a car

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

What we check

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

Make a request

Choose a car above and send a request. A person replies with an offer, and you pay only if you approve it.
