Worth knowing

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Requests are read in order and answered by a person. You can rent again later with the same account and details.

Before pickup

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

Getting the car booked

Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Over to you

A request costs nothing, and the offer tells you everything.
