CarmaCars and Proctor

Our only location is in Toronto; Proctor is outside the area we serve. Proctor lies about 1,578 km from our location in Toronto, well outside our delivery area of about 250 km.

Most trips to Proctor start with a flight; if yours starts in Toronto, we can cover the car at this end. Tell us in your request that you plan to drive outside Ontario; it needs our written consent. Send a request with what you need in Proctor, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.

Why CarmaCars

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser. The offer is in writing, so you can check it before you agree.

What happens when you ask for a car

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Before pickup

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
