How renting works in Prosper

Searching for car rental in Prosper? Here is the honest picture from CarmaCars, a Toronto rental company. What this means: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. You can compare rates car by car before you ask for anything.

Where we deliver

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Prosper is outside the area we serve. We cover about 250 km around Toronto; at about 1,014 km, Prosper is outside that.

Most trips to Prosper start with a flight; if yours starts in Toronto, we can cover the car at this end. A border crossing needs our written consent in advance; ask in your request. For anything about Prosper, a request reaches a person who answers honestly. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.

Who rents this way

Anyone who needs a car for a few days without owning one. Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while.

What to expect

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Your offer lists every charge, so the price you approve is the price you pay. The same team handles your request, your handover and your questions.

From your dates to the handover

Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

What you need to rent

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
