Typical renters

People with family in town who need a second car for a while. Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then.

What is different here

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. Requests are read in order and answered by a person. The request is free, so you can ask without committing.

How booking works

Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

Rules for renters

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

When you know your dates

Ready? Request the car. If you change your mind before approving the offer, nothing is charged.
