Shackleton: renting made simple

If you need a rental car in Shackleton, read this first: CarmaCars works from Toronto. The key point: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. What CarmaCars covers

CarmaCars works from Toronto. There is no CarmaCars branch in Shackleton. Shackleton is about 2,325 km from our location, and our delivery area is about 80 km.

If your trip to Shackleton starts in Toronto, a car from us can cover the Toronto part of it. A trip from Ontario to Shackleton needs our written consent before you leave. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Shackleton if you like. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.

What you get

You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. A person reads each request and answers it, by email and in your account. You can rent again later with the same account and details.

When it makes sense

Drivers who want to try a different kind of car for a week. People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice.

What you need to rent

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

How it works

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
