The useful parts

Renting month to month means no long commitment and no buyout at the end. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement, and the deposit carries over. You choose the exact car, not a category with "or similar". A request is free and commits you to nothing.

Typical renters

Students, contract workers and people between leases rent month to month. Newcomers waiting for their own car rent for a month or two first.

Licence, age and card

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.

Booking with CarmaCars

Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
