Most trips to Solo start with a flight; if yours starts in Toronto, we can cover the car at this end. Our cars can leave Ontario only with written consent from us, arranged before the trip. Send a request with what you need in Solo, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.

What you get

You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser. Prices are shown car by car, and the offer lists every charge.

Requirements

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

The booking steps

All you send at first is a request with the car and the dates, and it is free. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

One more step

The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
