Why CarmaCars

Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. A person reads each request and answers it, by email and in your account. The same team handles your request, your handover and your questions.

Driver basics

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

Your request, our offer, your keys

You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
