The details that matter

You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Requests are read in order and answered by a person. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser.

Driver requirements

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.

How a booking comes together

Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
