Anyone between a car sale and a car purchase. Drivers who want to try a different kind of car for a week.

The useful parts

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. One small team handles your request from start to finish. Prices are shown car by car, and the offer lists every charge.

Driver requirements

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

How a booking comes together

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
