Colour notes

Tell us if silver is a must or a preference, and we look accordingly. Colour is confirmed in your offer, never before. Ask for silver in your request; the offer confirms the colour of the car.

Engine and fuel

It uses the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo and front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Plan on about 23 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 7.8 L/100 km. Driving 300 km costs roughly $40.95 at our price setting.

Inside and out

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. EPA lists 368 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Best uses

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.

Renting the A4 from CarmaCars

Requirements

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

How booking works

Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
