Reading the spec sheet

It uses the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo and front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Combined fuel use is 7.9 L/100 km: about 24 litres for 300 km. Expect about $13.83 per 100 km at our price setting.

What to expect from the A4

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. It is 4.76 m from end to end. Check the size of a tight parking spot. Its 368 litre trunk is enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting: the basics

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
