Engine and fuel

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

The EPA rates it at 7.9 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 24 litres. At our price setting, it costs about $13.83 to drive 100 km.

When the A4 makes sense

It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

The A4 in everyday use

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. Measured bumper to bumper, it is 4.76 m. Check the size of a tight parking spot. At 368 litres, the trunk fits about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Rent it from us

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates.

What happens when you ask for a car

You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

Driver requirements

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
