What the specs mean

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Fuel use is rated 7.9 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 24 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $13.83, and a 300 km weekend about $41.49.

Size and space

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. Length: 4.76 m. Check the size of a tight parking spot. At 368 litres, the trunk fits about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who the A4 suits

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Your request, our offer, your keys

The first step is a free request: which car, which dates, and how you want to get it. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Rules for renters

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

Next step

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
