Colour notes

A silver car can be requested, but never promised before we confirm. In silver, the A4 looks like the studio image; real photos are on each car's page. A colour can never be promised before we confirm; ask for silver in your request.

Specs, explained

It runs the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined, it needs around 25 litres for a 300 km round trip. A 300 km weekend costs about $38.61 in energy at our price setting.

Room inside

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. With 340 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Good uses for the A4

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Renting this car

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

What happens when you ask for a car

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Renting: the basics

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

Your move

A request costs nothing, and the offer tells you everything.
