The figures, translated

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

A combined rating of 8.3 L/100 km works out to about 25 litres per 300 km. In money, 1,000 km costs about $128.70 at our price setting.

Is it right for your trip?

Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

The A4 in everyday use

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Luggage space is rated at 340 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

The steps

Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

What we ask of drivers

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
