Reading the spec sheet

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, paired with a 7-speed automatic, drives it. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Its combined rating is 8.3 L/100 km, which means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $12.87 at our price setting.

A good match for

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

The A4 in everyday use

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. Its 340 litres of luggage space fit about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting this car

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

The steps

You ask for the car online with your dates, and nothing is charged to send it. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

Who can rent

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
