The figures, translated

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid does the work, through a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Plan on about 25 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 8.3 L/100 km. Driving 300 km costs roughly $38.61 at our price setting.

Room inside

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Its 340 litres of luggage space fit about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

A good match for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Can I rent it?

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer.

What to expect when you book

Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Before you rent

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.
