Choosing a colour

Colour is confirmed in your offer, never before. Ask for silver in your request; the offer confirms the colour of the car. If you want it in silver, say so in your request and we look for one for your dates.

Engine and fuel

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined, it needs around 25 litres for a 300 km round trip. That works out to about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

Size and space

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. The trunk holds 340 litres by the EPA's count: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

A good match for

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Renting this car

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

The steps

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

What you need to rent

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
