Before you rent

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
