Reading the spec sheet

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, driving through a 7-speed automatic. It is a plug-in hybrid: it runs on electricity for a short distance, then on gas like a regular hybrid. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 26 litres, from its 8.8 L/100 km rating. On electricity alone it is rated for about 644 km before the gas engine takes over. Driving 300 km costs roughly $40.92 at our price setting.

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

What to bring

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
