Driver basics

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
