Reading the spec sheet

The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with all-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

A combined rating of 10.8 L/100 km works out to about 32 litres per 300 km. In money, 1,000 km costs about $189 at our price setting.

How a booking comes together

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

Before pickup

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
