Renting: the basics

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
