Driver basics

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

The booking steps

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
