The 2000 Daewoo Lanos, explained

The 2000 Daewoo Lanos in brief: a compact car with the 1.5L 4-cylinder.

Reading the spec sheet

Power comes from the 1.5L 4-cylinder, driving through a 5-speed manual. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow. It has a manual gearbox, so you need to be comfortable with a clutch.

Rated at 9.0 L/100 km combined, it needs around 27 litres for a 300 km round trip. It uses 10.2 L/100 km in the city and 7.4 on the highway, by its rating. Every 100 km costs about $13.95 in fuel at our price setting.

Road trips

Return the car with the fuel it had at pickup, or a fee applies. A long weekend away is easy to price with the figures on this page. Plan longer trips against the kilometres included each day.

A good match for

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Space, size and seats

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. Luggage space is 340 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting this car

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.

What we check

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

From request to keys

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

Ask us

Pick the car that fits the trip and send a request.
