The 2012 Dodge Durango at a glance

If you are looking at the 2012 Dodge Durango, here is what the figures say.

Engine and fuel

Power: the 3.6L 6-cylinder; drive: rear-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference. It shifts by itself; there is no clutch pedal to think about.

Plan on about 38 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 12.5 L/100 km. It uses 14.4 L/100 km in the city and 10.2 on the highway, by its rating. Expect about $19.38 per 100 km at our price setting.

Out of town

Trips outside Ontario need our written consent, agreed before you go. Return the car with the same fuel it had at pickup. Plan longer trips against the kilometres included each day.

Who it is for

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size. Families, skiers and anyone with bulky luggage.

What to expect from the Durango

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

Getting this car from us

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.

Getting the car booked

The first step is a free request: which car, which dates, and how you want to get it. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

What we need from you

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

One more step

Send a request now and decide when the offer arrives.

What changed for 2012
