The 2005 Ferrari F430, explained

The 2005 Ferrari F430 came with 2 powertrains; the most efficient is the 4.3L 8-cylinder.

What the figures tell you

Under the hood: the 4.3L 8-cylinder and rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference. It shifts by itself; there is no clutch pedal to think about.

Its combined rating is 19.6 L/100 km, which means roughly 59 litres for 300 km. City driving is rated 23.5 L/100 km and highway driving 15.7. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $343. We count premium at $1.75 a litre for the cost figures on this page.

Trips in the F430

For a trip out of Ontario, ask first: it needs our written consent. Return the car with the same fuel it had at pickup. A long weekend away is easy to price with the figures on this page.

Best uses

It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

Space, size and seats

As a two-seat sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second.

Getting this car from us

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Delivery starts at $75 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.

How a booking comes together

The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

What we check

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

Still deciding?

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
