Colour notes

Tell us if blue is a must or a preference, and we look accordingly. In blue, the Edge looks like the studio image; real photos are on each car's page. Our blue cars of this kind are listed first, when we have one.

Specs, explained

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

The combined figure, 9.8 L/100 km, means roughly 29 litres for 300 km. That works out to about $15.19 per 100 km at our price setting.

Good uses for the Edge

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people.

Practical details

It offers the space of an SUV with the height that makes loading easy.

Our Edge cars

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Booking made plain

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

Licence, age and card

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
