What the specs mean

Power: the 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo; drive: front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Expect about 23 litres for every 300 km, going by its 7.8 L/100 km combined rating. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $12.09, and a 300 km weekend about $36.27.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. Families, skiers and anyone with bulky luggage.

What the Escape is like

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

In our fleet

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Requirements

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

Booking, step by step

Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
