The 2022 Ford Escape S, explained

As the entry trim, the S starts the 2022 Ford Escape lineup. The 2022 Ford Escape S, explained: powertrain, fuel use, size and who it suits.

A note on Java

CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,639 km from Java, and does not deliver there. If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Selby, Lowry and Sitka are the closest places to Java on our list.

In white

The colour is part of what we confirm in the offer. Colour is confirmed in your offer, never before. Tell us if white is a must or a preference, and we look accordingly.

The numbers in plain words

The 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo does the work, through an 8-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Fuel use is rated 7.8 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 23 litres. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $12.09.

Space and size

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

Best uses

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Our Escape cars

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Renting: the basics

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.

Booking, step by step

Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
