Renting for Java

If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,639 km away.

Around Java you will also find Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

In yellow

The colour is part of what we confirm in the offer. Our yellow cars of this kind are listed first, when we have one. Colour is confirmed in your offer, never before.

The numbers in plain words

The powertrain to know here is the 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 24 litres, from its 7.9 L/100 km rating. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $12.25, and a 300 km weekend about $36.75.

Good uses for the Escape

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Inside and out

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Can you rent one?

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates.

Requirements

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

Your request, our offer, your keys

A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Ready to ask?

Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
