The Explorer in black

Colour is confirmed in your offer, never before. Ask for black in your request; the offer confirms the colour of the car. A colour can never be promised before we confirm; ask for black in your request.

Engine and fuel

The 2.3L 4-cylinder turbo is what moves it, with rear-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

Rated at 9.9 L/100 km combined, it needs around 30 litres for a 300 km round trip. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $153.50.

What the Explorer is like

An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Rent it from us

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.

Who can rent

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.

Booking in plain terms

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
