The 2011 Ford Flex at a glance
The 2011 Ford Flex at a glance, then the details.
Under the hood
The 3.5L 6-cylinder with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter. The automatic gearbox makes city traffic easy.
It is rated at 12.3 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 37 litres. Around town it is rated at 14.1 L/100 km; on the highway, 9.9. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $57.21 at our price setting.
Living with the Flex
An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.
Who the Flex suits
It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.
Out of town
Each car shows the kilometres included each day and the rate for extra ones. Trips outside Ontario need our written consent, agreed before you go. Return the car with the same fuel it had at pickup.
Can I rent it?
We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
The steps
You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.
The photos on a car's page are of that car. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
Who qualifies
Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.
