Choosing a colour

Tell us if silver is a must or a preference, and we look accordingly. If you want it in silver, say so in your request and we look for one for your dates. A colour can never be promised before we confirm; ask for silver in your request.

Under the hood

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo does the work, through a 9-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Its combined rating is 9.1 L/100 km, which means roughly 27 litres for 300 km. Expect about $14.11 per 100 km at our price setting.

Good uses for the Cherokee

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Living with the Cherokee

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

Booking, step by step

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.

Who can rent

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

When you know your dates
