Choosing a colour

A brown car can be requested, but never promised before we confirm. Colour is confirmed in your offer, never before. We cannot promise a colour until we confirm; ask for brown and we try.

What the figures tell you

The powertrain to know here is the 2.4L 4-cylinder, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

It is rated at 9.3 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 28 litres. In energy, every 100 km costs about $14.42 at our price setting.

Inside and out

Being a compact SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Our Compass cars

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Booking, step by step

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Who qualifies

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
