A note on Java

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. Java is about 1,072 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to.

If you are close to Java, you may also be near Tara Village, South Side and Howe.

Reading the spec sheet

The 2.5L 4-cylinder is what moves it, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Combined fuel use is 9.0 L/100 km: about 27 litres for 300 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $41.85 in energy at our price setting.

When the Sorento makes sense

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Practical details

Being a compact SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.

Getting this car from us

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one.

Booking, step by step

The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

What we need from you

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.
