Meet the 2012 Mazda 3

If you are looking at the 2012 Mazda 3, here is what the figures say.

What the figures tell you

The powertrain here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow. The automatic gearbox makes city traffic easy.

Its combined rating is 7.4 L/100 km, which means roughly 22 litres for 300 km. City and highway ratings are 8.5 and 6.2 L/100 km. That works out to about $11.47 per 100 km at our price setting.

Road trips

Return the car with the fuel it had at pickup, or a fee applies. Each car shows the kilometres included each day and the rate for extra ones. Plan longer trips against the kilometres included each day.

Space, size and seats

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. At 481 litres, the trunk fits a family's bags for a long weekend.

A good match for

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Rent this car

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.

How booking works

You request the car online with your dates, and nothing is charged to send it. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

What we check

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.

Still deciding?

A request takes a few minutes and puts a real offer in front of you.
