Meet the 2021 Nissan Altima Platinum

Here is the 2021 Nissan Altima Platinum in plain words: what it is, what it uses, and who it suits. The Platinum sits at the top of the 2021 Nissan Altima lineup, trim 5 of 5.

A note on Java

We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,639 km away. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

Nearby places include Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

In blue

Tell us if blue is a must or a preference, and we look accordingly. Want blue? Put it in the request. The colour is part of what we confirm in the offer.

Under the hood

The 2.5L 4-cylinder is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

A combined rating of 8.1 L/100 km works out to about 24 litres per 300 km. That works out to about $12.56 per 100 km at our price setting.

The Altima in everyday use

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. The trunk holds 425 litres by the EPA's count: a family's bags for a long weekend.

When the Altima makes sense

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

Can you rent one?

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

What happens when you ask for a car

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

What to have ready

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.

Ready when you are

Request a car, read the offer, and decide. That is the whole process.
