The Kicks and Java

If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. Java is about 1,639 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to.

Next door to Java are Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

What the specs mean

Power comes from the 1.6L 4-cylinder, driving through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

The EPA rates it at 7.2 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 22 litres. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $11.16 at our price setting.

How big it is

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The EPA lists 708 litres for luggage, roughly bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

A good match for

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

In our fleet

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

What we check

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

How to book

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

One more step

Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
