The Macan and Ruby

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Ruby. Ruby is about 1,626 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to.

Close by are Hopewell, Beech Grove and Gatesville, each with its own page.

Reading the spec sheet

The 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo does the work, through a 7-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

By the EPA's combined rating of 12.1 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 36 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $21.18, and a 300 km weekend about $63.54.

A good match for

It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Space and size

An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.

In our fleet

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Before pickup

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

Your booking, in three steps

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
