Colour notes

Under the hood

It runs the 5.7L 8-cylinder, with rear-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

Expect about 41 litres for every 300 km, going by its 13.6 L/100 km combined rating. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $210.80.

The 1500 in everyday use

Being a pickup truck, it trades parking ease for a cargo bed.

Who it is for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Rules for renters

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

How booking works

Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Over to you

The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
