The 2011 Rolls-Royce Phantom: an overview
Here are the 2011 Rolls-Royce Phantom's figures, in numbers and in words.
What the figures tell you
Power: the 6.7L 12-cylinder; drive: rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference. The automatic gearbox makes city traffic easy.
The EPA rates it at 17.3 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 52 litres. In the city it is rated at 20.5 L/100 km, and on the highway 13.3. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $30.28 at our price setting. We count premium at $1.75 a litre for the cost figures on this page.
The Phantom in everyday use
As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. For luggage, 396 litres means about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
How far it goes
Each car shows the kilometres included each day and the rate for extra ones. Trips outside Ontario need our written consent, agreed before you go. Plan longer trips against the kilometres included each day.
When the Phantom makes sense
It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.
