Applegate and the Model 3

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Applegate. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 3,484 km from Applegate, and does not deliver there.

Neighbouring areas include Heather Glen, Meadow Vista and Twin Pines.

The Model 3 in grey

If grey matters for an event, say so and we look for one for your dates. We cannot promise a colour until we confirm; ask for grey and we try. The colour is part of what we confirm in the offer.

Specs, explained

The powertrain here is the electric motor with all-wheel drive and a 1-speed automatic. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Rated energy use is 18.6 kWh per 100 km. Rated range: 507 km. Winter and highway speeds bring it down. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $2.79.

Size and space

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Luggage space is 425 litres, enough for a family's bags for a long weekend.

Who the Model 3 suits

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Renting this car

There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

What to have ready

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

What happens when you ask for a car

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Next step

A request takes a few minutes and puts a real offer in front of you.
